Why choose a three-point lock?

With a three-point lock you make your door extra secure. Because the lock closes in three places, it is very difficult for burglars to get in. The door also fits better on the frame. As a result, no cold air comes in.

The lock is easy to use. You only need one key to lock all three points. This all happens at once when you turn the key. Many insurance companies find this lock so safe that they give a discount on your home contents insurance.

Installing a three-point lock

A three-point lock must fit exactly in your door. Our fitters first open your door. Then they mill out space for the lock and the rods that run up and down. They also make holes in the frame for the locking points. When everything is in the right place, we test whether the lock works smoothly.

For which doors is a three-point lock suitable?

Front doors

A three-point lock is perfect for front doors. It doesn't matter whether your door is made of wood, plastic or aluminium. The lock secures your door firmly in all places. Your door will also no longer jam or warp.

Terrace doors

Patio doors are also often secured with a three-point lock. These doors are large and can sag. With this lock, the door remains nice and straight and always closes properly.

When should you replace your three-point lock?

Door handle problems

The door handle of a three-point lock should go up smoothly. If you have to push harder and harder to get the handle up, the mechanism is no longer working properly. This is often because the parts in the lock are worn.

Strange noises

A good lock makes almost no noise. Do you hear creaking or scraping when you close the door? Then the locking pins or rods in your door are probably worn out. These noises usually get worse until the lock gets stuck completely.

The door no longer closes properly

With a three-point lock, your door must fit neatly onto the frame everywhere. Do you see gaps? Or do you have to push hard to close the door? Then the pins no longer fit properly onto the striker plates in the frame. This makes your door less secure.

Tour around the door

A three-point lock ensures that your door closes properly everywhere. Do you feel a draft around the door? Or does water get in when it rains? Then your lock no longer works as it should. This not only costs you energy, but also makes your lock vulnerable to burglary.

Costs of three-point lock

Installing a three-point lock costs from €395,00. This includes: The complete lock, all striker plates for the frame, a secure cylinder, professional installation and a 5-year warranty.
