Multi-point lock for more security at home

Multi-point lock for more security at home

Have you already come up with a few tricks to discourage burglars from breaking into your home? A timer on the lighting, a lamp with a sensor at the outside door and, above all, don't forget to remove the mail from the mat. Perhaps out of desperation you are already thinking about purchasing an impressive dog. These are all ideas that do not necessarily prevent a break-in. The only way to deter burglars and to maintain the feeling of security in your own home is to have good locks installed. An excellent form of burglary prevention is to have a multi-point lock installed.

What is a multi-point lock and what are its advantages?

The longer it takes for burglars to force the lock on a home, the more likely they are to be caught. If the burglary costs them too much time and effort, they will soon take the hare path and ignore your home. It is therefore very important that you make it as difficult as possible for burglars. Locks with the SKG quality mark already indicate with their stars how much it will delay the burglar. The SKG three star locks already cause a delay of at least 10 minutes. A very good form of burglary prevention is to have a multi-point lock installed. A cylinder lock only locks your door at one point, where the multi-point lock locks the door at three points. Because the multi-point lock locks the door at the top, bottom and side, it is virtually an impossible task to force the door. If you also provide extra security fittings for the cylinder lock and possibly hook locks, then you can be sure that burglars will not even bother to break in.
